Nevada’s continuing-education rules are specific and designation-driven. If you understand these three things, the rest of the page makes more sense.

What is Nevada real estate continuing education, in plain terms?
Continuing education (CE) is the ongoing coursework Nevada real-estate licensees complete to keep their license in good standing. The Nevada Real Estate Division (NRED) sets the rules: a required number of hours per renewal cycle, split across six specific designations. CE is taken from approved providers like Lurnor. For standard renewals, Lurnor also prepares Form 580, includes your Lurnor-issued and verified imported CE certificates, and sends the packet to NRED after you authorize the submission. Licensees are responsible for NRED fees; in an assisted standard renewal, Lurnor collects and remits them with the packet.
How many CE hours does Nevada require, and which designations?
A standard Nevada renewal is 36 hours across 6 designations: Agency (3), Law & Legislation (3), Contracts (6), Ethics (3), Risk Reduction (3), General (18). NRED counts each designation separately; you can't cover an Ethics shortfall with extra General hours. The exact requirement for your license type and renewal cycle is confirmed against your license record when you sign up.
Is Lurnor an approved CE provider in Nevada?
Yes. Lurnor is an approved Nevada Real Estate Division CE provider. Lurnor's Nevada CE courses are reviewed and approved before they appear in the catalog, and designation codes line up with how NRED counts hours.
Can I complete every hour online?
No. Nevada requires a minimum portion of each renewal to be completed with a live instructor. Lurnor's dashboard shows which of your remaining hours can be completed online versus which need a live session, so you don't accidentally over-stack distance education.
Does Lurnor file my renewal with NRED?
For a standard renewal, yes. Once your CE is complete, Lurnor generates Form 580, fills it from your license record, includes your Lurnor-issued and verified imported CE certificates, and sends the packet to NRED after you authorize the submission. You are responsible for NRED fees; in an assisted standard renewal, Lurnor collects and remits them with your packet. Reinstatement filings are not handled by Lurnor today; if you're in reinstatement, Lurnor tracks your CE, but you submit the reinstatement paperwork yourself.
What happens to certificates after I complete a course?
Your certificate is generated and downloadable the moment you pass the final exam, and the hours drop into the matching designation in your dashboard. Keep the certificate. It's your record of completion for the Division and your own files.
I completed CE with another provider. Can I use those certificates?
Nevada CE from another approved provider may still count. Lurnor can import supported outside-provider CE certificates into your dashboard, and verified imported credits can count toward renewal readiness. Keep original certificates with your renewal records in case NRED requests them.
