Instructor invitations distinguish new and returning access

Instructor invitations distinguish new and returning access

Adding an instructor to a school’s teaching roster now follows the instructor’s relationship with Lurnor, so the invitation points them toward the right next step instead of treating every recipient the same.

For an instructor who is new to the platform, the invitation can guide them through getting started. That keeps the invitation focused on the first task they actually need to complete before they can teach through Lurnor.

For an instructor who already has Lurnor access, the message now focuses on the school adding them to its teaching roster. It no longer implies that an existing instructor needs to create a new account just to accept the school connection.

Returning instructors also have a more direct path if they open an invitation while signed out. They are directed to sign in and review the invitation, which helps them accept the school connection through the right account and avoids confusion around whether they are starting fresh or returning.

The update supports a simpler invitation experience for schools and instructors alike: new instructors get help getting started, existing instructors understand they are being added to a school roster, and signed-out returning instructors are steered back to sign-in before reviewing the invitation.
